Selecting Postcodes
When you select a postcode your office(s) will be allocated to the list of surveyors for that postcode.
Offices are mutually exclusive, so you can only nominate one office in your account for each postcode district. If you wish to offer different services over different geographical areas, please see Offering Different Services on Different Postcode Areas
To select your postcodes
To select the postcodes that you wish to be listed in, go to the Manage Postcodes page.
- Select the office that will receive the referrals for your selected postcodes, then the postcode area from the drop downs. This will load the available postcode districts for that area in the column on the left. Any postcodes already assigned to your account in that postcode area will be listed on the right. Also shown will be the office they are assigned to, and the status (Active or Waiting List). Only the postcodes for the current area are displayed - if you wish to check all your postcode allocations, click the "Your Postcodes" button to display all the postcodes for your account.
- Select your postcodes by ticking the relevant boxes. You can select all postcodes by ticking the “Select all available” option.
- Click on the "Add Postcodes" button to save your selection. The page will refresh and any postcode districts you have selected in that postcode area will now be displayed in the column on the right.
Repeat the process for any other postcode areas you wish to cover.
Checking which postcodes are allocated to your account
Click on the Your Postcodes button. This will open a pop-up listing ALL your postcodes and the offices they are assigned to. You can easily remove any postcodes from your account from this page by clicking the Remove link.
Removing Postcodes
The easiest way to remove postcodes from your account is to click on the Your Postcodes button. This will open the popup and you can simply click on the Remove button alongside each postcode to delete it from your account.
Alternatively, select the postcode area to display the assigned postcodes, and to remove a postcode district simply click the Remove link. The postcode district will be unassigned and be transferred to the available list on the left.
Transferring Postcodes between offices
To transfer a postcode to another office in your account, your must first release it from the existing office by removing it (see above). You can then re-assign it to another office by selecting the relevant office from the drop down, and re-selecting it.
