We are an independent firm of Chartered Building Surveyors located in Buckinghamshire. We cover the areas of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and parts of Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire, and we are regulated by the RICS.

With 16 years in the industry we have expert knowledge of building construction and we offer a residential survey service including both Level 2 Homebuyer and Level 3 Building Surveys. We pride ourselves on providing a professional, client focused and detailed service. All our reports are accompanied by a full set of detailed photographs which are vital to assist with identifying the defects noted within the written report.

We also offer an architectural design service for extensions and alterations, with drawings prepared using the latest AutoCAD software for planning and building regulations purposes.

Matthew was very professional and communicative throughout the process of our survey. The report was clear and useful and provided us with the reassurance and necessary actions for our solicitor. Matthew carried out a level 3 survey for us on a victorian property with extensive renovations. He spent a significant amount of time on site and produced a really thorough and comprehensive report. He followed up with a phone call on the day of the survey and even offered to review photos of work to be completed after the survey. Would highly recommend

Matthew was very professional and efficient, responded quickly, charged reasonably.

The survey was thorough and report came back quickly and was very detailed and easy to read. Helped us identified issues we would have missed and marked out important, urgent things to attend to.

Very good service. Matthew responded quickly to my request for a survey, and did the job just a few days later. His report was very detailed, and noted a few small items for me to attend to soon after moving.

Matthew carried out a level 3 survey on the property I was buying. The report was excellent, gave me all the details I needed. He was very approachable and happy to help with any questions I had. I used the report to negotiate a £30,000 reduction on the agreed price.

I have no hesitation in recommending Matthew. He has done two Level 2 surveys for me and in each case he was prompt, responsive, and provided a very thorough report with clear text and informative photographs. I feel very fortunate that I found him through the RICS website. The key difference was that he responded to me directly (rather than through an office administrator) and I was able to talk to him about my impressions of the property so that he understood and was able to answer my specific questions, as well as covering all the things I didn't know I needed to know! Great service from a true professional.

We've worked with Matthew multiple times, and he consistently provides insightful and clear reports. In one case, a report highlighted several problems and the builders didn't address them adequately, so we decided not to buy. In another instance, a report clearly pointed out an issue that needed fixing, and the seller promptly paid for a professional to address it. We would easily recommend him to anyone looking to buy a house.

I initially chose Matthew at In-House purely from a small
Selection of surveyors that came up on a web search, and I was happy with my choice. I found the report very detailed which gave me exactly what i wanted to know from a mid range survey and Matthew answered any questions i had . He was very clear about what the report would and would not provide so i knew what i was getting for the fee. I would happily use Matthew again if i ever need to do another house survey and would definitely recommend In-House to others. The reports ate easy to understand and with photos to support the written findings.

Matt has just carried out a homebuyer survey on a property I’m in the process of buying in Aylesbury. I can’t fault the service I’ve received from obtaining a quote to booking in the survey to receiving the final report it was faultless. The report I received 5 days after the survey was completed was comprehensive giving me advice on what I should do to rectify the issues found. Matt then contacted me a few days after to ensure everything was ok and whether I had any questions. I would definitely recommend Matt (and Anna on the admin side) without hesitation and happily give them 5 stars.

Matthew provided us with a full Level 3 survey along with additional information on estimated repair costs in preparation for us purchasing our new property. The survey was incredibly detailed with invaluable photographic evidence to support his findings. Even post survey, whereby we had several queries on some major faults, he was highly professional and more than accommodating in assisting us. I can’t recommend him enough

Throughout the process of employing Martin to conduct our home buyers report he was prompt professional and willing to answer additional questions.

The survey itself was well laid out and easy to understand. It had a good traffic light system which provided a quick reference which accompanied a good amount of detail which created a clear picture of the house.

We would be happy to use Martin again and would recommend him to anyone.
