I have recently used Gavin (Brooker & Co) to survey a property for me. The experience was extremely positive. Firstly he was very approachable during the initial phone call. He was happy for my stepfather (an architect) to be at the property at the same time - some surveyors did not want to entertain this. On the day, he was very thorough in going through the property - over 3 hours of time, and he was able to talk technically with my stepfather about aspects of renovation work required. A major concern of my stepfathers from the estate agents photo was getting a good assessment of the roof due to the properties age. Gavin used a drone to view the roof from the outside which was able to give comprehensive imagery to the state of the roof exterior and chimneys. The report arrived promptly and was extremely detailed - and, importantly written in layman's terms so that I am able to understand the extent of work needed and correct use of materials required for necessary repairs. A very pleasant man to deal with and I can fully recommend his services to anyone requiring a surveyor.

The whole experience of dealing with Gavin has been fantastic, friendly, honest conversations with knowledgeable answers. The report itself exceeded my expectations. I received much more detail and advise than I thought this type of report would produce. I beleive this is down to Gavin taking more time on the report than he was being paid for which is excellant customer service. Following receiving the report promptly, Gavin took some to talk through my options, resulting in a correct decision being made to not purchase the property. Best money I've spent, I would highly recommend using Gavin (Brooker & Co.)
