Helping With Conversions
We are often asked about what level of conversion rate you can expect, and how to improve that. The short answer is, the conversion rate varies. A bit depends on how much competition you have on your postcodes, but typically the conversion rate is between 1 in 5 and 1 in 9. But there is a lot you can do to help your conversions, and here are some tips.
We now have quite a lot of review feedback on our service, and those of our surveyors, and I'm pleased to say that it's nearly all positive. But the negatives we receive shed some helpful light on the things that annoy people, and highlight some of the things that will help you convert leads into fees.
So let's start with the basics...

Survey Booker API
Among the technical enhancements rolled out this year is the addition of an API (Application Programming Interface!) to allow our leads to be posted directly into the Survey Booker CRM
This allows customers to immediately get information about your services and streamline the process of following up on all leads.

Reviews, reviews, reviews...
As you know we have two ways in which people can feedback their experiences with us - through Reviews.co.uk, and through reviews of individual surveyors on our site.
These are a highly valuable source of how people are seeing both our, and your, service. Most pleasing is that the overwhelming response is positive, with the average still mostly 4 stars.
BUT.. from time to time we see trends appearing in the negative reviews which we feel would be helpful to feed back.

Tips on managing your lead flow.
Since the easing of the lockdown, the property market has been seeing quite a resurgence, and that is reflected in the volume of leads we are currently sending out.
That increase can mean that you may be receiving larger number of leads than before, maybe to the point of receiving more than you can easily accommodate. So I thought that it might be a good time to share some tips on ways you can optimise your lead flow so that you are not inundated with leads you don't need, and to help avoid unduly large bills.

Control Panel Update - Leads List and Average Fee Reports
As you may have noticed, our control panel had a significant overhaul earlier this year. This was much more than a cosmetic face-lift, with some significant technical enhancements behind the scenes to allow us to add additional functionality, some of which have gone live over the last few days:

Coronavirus Update 5
It's been three weeks since our last update on market activity, so we thought it time for a further short update.
Other media have reported that property sites Rightmove and Zoopla have been recording record levels of traffic, suggesting that property market restrictions being eased in England has released some pent-up demand.
That's certainly been our experience too. The graph below shows Google search volumes since the beginning of March:

Coronavirus Update 4
A couple of weeks ago we gave you an update on what we'd seen happening in the surveying market up to the 9th May.
Since that time things have moved on quite significantly! On Sunday the 11th May, in an address to the nation, Boris Johnson stated that the government would be starting to ease the restrictions on some businesses, details of which would be published over the course of the following week.

Coronavirus Update 3
As we are now some weeks into the coronavirus lockdown, and the potential lifting of property market restrictions still some indeterminate time ahead, we feel it time to share a little of what we've seen happening in the surveying market over the last couple of months.
The new year started very full of promise, with trends very much on the up following the General Election. That continued until March when awareness that the new coronavirus was becoming not "just another sort of 'flu", but an imminent global health crisis.

Control Panel Update
We are pleased to announce a significantly updated version of our account control panel went live last week. The changes are more than just cosmetic, with some quite major changes to the underlying system. From a user's perspective, the only significant change has been to separate the Offices management from the Company Details page; there is now a link from the main menu to the new Offices area. There will be new enhancements of the system appearing in the next few weeks.
Great service, quick and efficient way to get a surveyor appropriate to my requirements.
Good choice
I used GNP Structural Surveys. They responded very quickly and gave a quote which was very reasonable. The surveyor called me after the survey and discussed his findings. I now understand all the faults at the house, and he saved me from making mistake. They are very professional and I would like to thank them for their expert service, and how quick I got report back.
Quick results and had replies from every surveyor in the results.
Prompt response from local surveyors and was able to book a survey within a matter of days.
very helpful would highly recommend to anybody
I got the information I was looking for thank you
Good response
We hope to complete on a purchase before the end of March (!!) so finding a surveyor who will act fast is a priority. I filled out the request early evening and had one reply later that same evening and it even stated the earliest date the survey could be done. We have gratefully accepted the offer and booked the work by paying the deposit. Result !
I was moving to a new area and needed to find a surveyor quickly. The process worked well and was efficient.
Quick response. Found what I needed at competitive costs. Would recommend.
Good service
Very good service and the response is really quick.
I used Tony from The Good surveyor , and found her to be polite and very approachable during our conversations on setting up the Survey for my property. She was punctual on the day of the survey and followed all the Government guidelines on Covid19 during the visit. All round very happy with the Report and service from The Good surveyor, she lives up to that name without fault.
Local Building Surveyors made an overwhelming job an easy, quick and successful one. I was contacted straight away by companies. I made my decision to go with a local company and my survey was booked for a week later. I would recommend them.
It was easy to find a surveyor in an area we are not familiar with. Information provided from our serach about the surveyor was informative. Our surveyor, Jake Rainsbury, contacted us within 24 hours, he is very efficient and professional. He contacted our estate agent and all has been arranged to our satisfaction.
Of the two surveyors who contacted me, I chose one who has been extremely helpful. Also, the price quoted is extremely favourable.
Excellent service as it enabled me to find two great surveyors. They both had fantastic credentials and were very professional and well priced!
Chris Seal was very helpful, whilst we ended up not needing his service he was professional and extremely knowledgeable. Chris provide us with pro-bona advise that resulted in us not needing a site survey. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chris to those requiring his services.
Very good service. The surveyors they recommended where great.
Excellent service and a comprehensive report that followed was a great help
