Optimising Your Account

With the property market seemingly more active, some of you are seeing significant increases in the number of leads being delivered. Whilst for many this is welcome new business, for others it can result in receiving more leads than can be easily followed up or converted. So we thought it an appropriate time to share a few tips on ways in which you can optimise your leads to get the best from your account.

We provide a number of ways in which you can optimise your account to restrict the number of leads and manage your costs on a permanent or temporary basis.

Budget Cap

The most obvious, and the most simplistic, is to ask us to set a cap on the total number of leads per month. However this is usually not the best solution, as there are other methods you can use which can reduce the number of leads and improve your return:

Reduce Survey Types Offered

Reducing the survey types you offer can be a good alternative to capping your account - for example, if you offer all the three main survey types that make up the vast majority of leads, Building Surveys, HomeBuyer Reports and Valuation Surveys, then you might want to consider temporarily suspending one or more of these, starting with Valuations, then HomeBuyer Reports, as logic suggests keeping the survey types with the highest fees attached live.

An advantage of this approach is that with the budget cap, once you hit the cap all leads are stopped, which means that you might be receiving too many leads to handle for a couple of weeks, then not have enough. Temporarily suspending a survey type will reduce the number of leads over a longer period, and allow you to focus on the highest value surveys over the whole month. Individual survey types can be easily suspended and reactivated to suit your current need so this is a good way of controlling lead volumes.

Reduce Postcode Coverage

An alternative to this is to reduce your postcode coverage. Dropping postcode districts further from your home base to concentrate on leads from areas with the least travelling time and cost is another option. The process of dropping and re-adding postcodes is slightly more complicated than pausing survey types, so this might be more relevant should your number of leads be consistently more than you can handle. It also has the advantage of making you appear local - feedback from users tells us that they prefer to see results from, and are more likely to instruct local firms.

Use our Holiday Pause Function

Don't forget our Holiday Pause function - you don't have to be going on holiday to use this! It can be used to pause your account at any time to manage any temporary peaks in activity as well as when you are taking a break. You can pause your account for just a day or two or for longer periods to help manage your lead flow and work load.

Quick to respond and took time to explain findings before sending full written report. Will definitely recommend Graham Gibbs Associates to friends.

I was put in touch with a number of local surveyors from this site (as the name suggests!) but the service from Matthew at Acorn Technical Associates has been exceptional. I have bought many properties in the past and this was by far the most comprehensive survey I have seen, which really help me to make the right decision with regards a prospective purchase and reduction in price.

Emailed confirming when they would be visiting the property, also had a phonecall on the morning to see if we had an concerns with the property. Our surveyor rang back the same day to discuss finding- Stuart was HONEST and professional! Highly recommend!

The service I received after an enquriy was very good. However, it was all taken out of my hands when the solicitor took it over, so that I wasn't able to continue.
