Local Building Surveyors is a trading style of AZAB Ltd. AZAB Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, Registered Number 7535576, Registered Address 57B Vale Road, London N4 1PP. VAT Registration Number GB 218 0657 15.

Local Building Surveyors is not owned by or affiliated to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in any way, but is an independent website advertising the services of surveyors who are either independent Chartered Surveyors or Associate Members of the RICS (MRICS / FRICS / AssocRICS) or RICS Regulated Firms.

The company trading address for all enquiries is Wildwood, Newgrounds, Godshill, Fordingbridge, Hampshire, SP6 2LJ, UK.

These terms and conditions describe the conditions of your use, as a User, of our services.

"User" means a person accessing the Local Building Surveyors website and the facilities and information contained in it.

"Surveyor" means an RICS accredited surveyor, either independent Chartered Surveyor or Associate of the RICS (MRICS / FRICS / AssocRICS) or a RICS Regulated Firm, promoting their services through the website, either directly, or as part of a firm, or as a participant in a marketing group or marketing network.

The Local Building Surveyors website provides an advertising and facilitation service to enable users to easily find a local RICS accredited surveyor, and obtain comparative estimates for their survey.

Prices and listings shown are adverts for the surveyors, and constitute an invitation to treat. Prices shown are estimates, based on a typical property of conventional size and construction, and on the information provided by the user. Prices are not binding on either the user or surveyor. Users should confirm estimates with the surveyor taking into account any special requirements for their property and / or survey.

Prices quoted in estimates include VAT where applicable.

All surveyors listed on Local Building Surveyors are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and bound by the RICS codes of practice.

Search results may include listings for marketing groups or networks promoting the services of independent RICS surveyors. These networks should exclusively promote RICS accredited Chartered Surveyors, either RICS Members or Associates or RICS Regulated firms. These networks should be identified as such, but users should check before instructing a surveyor or surveying firm through one of these networks that the surveyor carrying out the survey is a RICS Member or employed by a RICS Regulated firm.

Users will receive estimates and details from up to five surveyors, depending upon surveyor coverage for their selected postcode district.

Search results and quotes are displayed on the website, and a copy sent to the user by email.

The surveyors listed will each receive the property details and contact details provided, and the user by using the service, hereby grants permission for Local Building Surveyors to transmit these details to the listed surveyors, and for those surveyors to contact the user in relation to his or her enquiry.

Personal data:

Surveyors listed on the site are only permitted to use the data submitted for the express purpose of responding to a User's enquiry and any subsequent engagement of a surveyor by the user. Use of the data provided by the user for any other purpose is strictly prohibited.

We use an independent service (reviews.co.uk) which allows you to submit reviews of our service, and your email address is used to send you an invitation to participate in the review process.

If you tick the box indicating that you wish to receive offers of additional quotes or services you are opting-in to our mailing list, and we may send you offers relating to other services provided by us (AZAB Ltd) and our partners. If you do not tick the box, you will not be added to any mailing list, and your personal data will not be used for any other purpose than to deliver your survey estimates or for you to provide a review of our service.

Local Building Surveyors accepts no responsibility for the non-delivery of any email to either user or surveyor.

Local Building Surveyors is purely an advertising and facilitation service, and is not a party to any contract that subsequently may be formed between a user and a surveyor either listed on the site or introduced through a listed surveyor, marketing group, or network. In the event of any dispute on any grounds, the user must pursue the matter directly with the surveyor in question.

Listed surveyors are responsible for the information provided through the website. It is the responsibility of the user to verify any information provided by a surveyor in relation to the surveyor's qualifications, RICS status, or suitability to undertake a particular professional instruction, and Local Building Surveyors accepts no responsibility whatever for the accuracy of any information provided by any surveyor, surveying firm or marketing network listed on the website.

For the purposes of transparency, you are advised that a director and shareholder of Local Building Surveyors (AZAB Ltd), Richard E. M. Winder MRICS is a practicing Chartered Surveyor and a director of Moores Independent Ltd, a firm appearing on this site in some postcode districts.

If for any reason part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions shall not be affected.

These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted according to the laws of England and in the event of dispute all parties agree to submit irrevocably to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
